Beck Loses 4 More Sponsors, Including Radio Shack & ConAgra

ConAgra (maker of Healthy Choice products), Roche, Sanofi-Aventis, and RadioShack – pledging to pull their ads from Fox News Channel’s Glenn Beck show.

ColorOfChange.org this week received confirmation from four more companies — ConAgra (maker of Healthy Choice products), Roche, Sanofi-Aventis, and RadioShack — pledging to pull their ads from Fox News Channel’s Glenn Beck show. These new defections come on the heels of reports that Men’s Wearhouse, State Farm and Sargento also pulled their ads in recent days. They join LexisNexis-owned Lawyers.com, Procter & Gamble, Progressive Insurance, SC Johnson and GEICO, who all pulled their ads from Glenn Beck after the news host called President Obama a “racist” who “has a deep-seated hatred for white people,” on “Fox and Friends.”

Well, for all those that pull ads, will lose me as a customer. Keep us updated.

  2. Carmib09 says:

I am so sorry this is going on. There has to be some conservative companies that will fill in..

  3. April says:

Seems pretty weak to me. Sad that sponsors such as these aren’t strong enough to stand behind the #1 news network. Who are they trying to impress, the consumer or the government? Scary times!

  4. Rosenlundkv says:

Yes Glenn Beck is part of a business entity he has very little to say about who they advertise or not. It is strictly a business decision when it comes to revenue. Understand that the people who advertise on the program do look at the economic equation of listener ship and does this fit there corporate milieu. As much as Liberals would like to think that there would be the pronounced Trump blast of “Your Fired” we need to see it as only money that fickle thing that will not determine emotional impact but effect business success. I would not count on a desertion of sponsors for because it is about ratings and eyes on the prize, the prize is there product and if they get an extra exposure of 500,000 viewers that converts to possible revenue. But there is a little bit of pay back here. Fox will just have to grow some and find more sponsors, you listener ship must be over the top.

But away from the economics and look at the pragmatic effect here. It is this Obama administration who is trying to control business, stifle the command of key sectors in the business world, look at the banks, GM, and the effort to take over the medical health care community. So as Machiavellian as it may seem Business may have a vested interest at the reality that Glenn is exposing.

We can never know the hate in the heart of another person, for that is a lid that all people try to keep under control. We have seen that under extreme conditions there are critical slips that show the ugly side of our beliefs. This we saw happened when President Obama misspoke about Prof Gates screw up. In fact he proved him self not just plane stupid but also you could see his race card on the table.

The race card will always be used by this administration for it is one of the dark sides that a lot of Americans have not come to terms with and they know it. Understand that the Obama administration depends more on controlling emotion than logic, having said you can see how the Logical cure of trying to influence sponsors could have a very low probability for success.

  5. Linda Ann Eknoian says:

I sorry to hear about your sponsors. Have you tried to contact them and work something out? Could the Obama Administration be putting pressure on the sponsors or perhaps you are becoming a to risky for them. But don’t back down, stay strong!

  6. Mac80537 says:

    I Agree With soso23,

For all those that pull ads, will lose me as a customer. Keep us updated.

THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO PULL THEIR ADS, JUST LIKE IT IS MY RIGHT NOT TO BUY THEIR PRODUCTS.

They ALL have lost me as a customer….

  7. PDM39WV says:

Those cowards want to pull their ads, I won’t buy their products and the same goes for any others; who wanna be cowards and pull their ads as well!

  8. Linda E! says:

I am sorry to hear about your sponsors. Have you tried to contact them and work something out? Could the Obama Administration be putting pressure on the sponsors or perhaps you are becoming a risk. It’s their lost! FOX is slamming all other networks with the highest ratings. So don’t back down, stay strong!

  9. Stop buying your medications if they are from Roche or Sanofi-Aventis.

It may be tough since probably 1/2 of my medications come from either of those companies and there are no generics out, but I think I will forgo my health and blood pressure to prove a point that they will lose customers for pulling their advertising on my favorite tv show and truth teller / genie

  10. Daniel says:

My only question is: are his ratings going down? If his ratings are maintaining or climbing, new advertisers will step in. If his ratings are dropping, then he will lose advertisers. That is how his business works.

One thing that I do know is that I am unable to catch either of his shows live, because of my work schedule. But I do try to catch his show on youtube, every night.

I already avoid ConAgra when I can. Radio Shack has been on my avoid list for years. I go to them only as a last resort. I use Progressive Insurance, they have not yet responded to my letter of inquiry on why they decided to drop advertising on the Glenn Beck shows. If they do not respond to me in the next 30 days, I have promised them I will change my coverage to another carrier.

That is all I can do. If their reasoning is fiscal, I have no problem with them following their business needs. If their reasoning is social or political, then I need to take my business to those with whom I have common interests.

    Daniel

  11. Morgan says:

I’m so so sorry Glenn, they’re acting like children. Your show is the absolute highlight of my day. It makes me feel empowered and really helps me relate. Along with many of your fans, I will also be boycotting these pathetic companies. I only spend my hard earned money at companies that have morals and don’t play childish games. (I guess that means I should stop paying taxes. HAHA only kidding.) Anyways, I’ll become a sponsor if it means I still get my Beck Fix every day. :-D

By the way, thanks for the 9.12 Project. I carry the values close to my heart. You are a true American, Glenn.

  12. Lanette says:

I respect that each business has a right to make decisions based on the demographic they feel best fits the needs of that respective company. Big, big whoops! The last time I looked at Glenn’s numbers and key demographic, these companies that are pulling their ads just slit their own wrists. There has got to be a bigger machine behind these decisions. No corporation purposefully takes money out of their own pocket just for kicks and giggles. Glenn’s audience suits each one of these companies almost too perfectly. I don’t want to toot my own horn but my background began in Ad/Mark and this makes zero sense. Unless, of course, you take into consideration our current administration, the current climate, the information Glenn and his staff are thankfully busting hump to find and put out for us, you then may see a light at the end of this bizarre and dishonest tunnel shinning on a group of people or organizations (Hmmm, I wonder who) that are desperately trying to protect their investment.
If enough of us stand hand in hand and get the word out, we can affect these companies and their fourth quarter numbers. Eventually they must learn, even if it’s the hard way, that WE decide, not them. This country is about the people not big company or big government, The People. We the people!

  13. Richard J. Miller says:

Sorry to hear this, it means work for me. Now I need to take out new insurance, and drop business with Progressive. I always use to buy Sargento cheese, but guess what Sargento, there’s alot of cheese out there! P.&G., also many other products on the market. As for Men’s Wearhouse, I won’t wear there rags.
They want to draw a line in the sand, I’ll step over with Glenn, and American Patriots like him, EVERY TIME !!

  14. Ann says:

They will lose me as a customer as well.

  15. Lanette says:

***VAN JONES*** GREEN JOBS CZAR IS THE CO-FOUNDER OF COLOROFCHANGE.ORG

  16. Dr. Dan says:

That’s their right not to advertise with someone with 3-4x the ratings of hsi nearest competitor in his time slot. It does show the power of ACORN and SEIU and GE, though, and their ability to organize these types of threats. If you look at his ratings on off-times, like last Sunday, and compare the ratings when they run Huckaby or Greta, Glenn has nothing to worry about. Speak the truth, and speak it boldly. Unfortunately, the pioneers get the arrows both in the front and in the back. He can handle it.

  17. Rose Wandell says:

Perhaps these sponsers are also getting some pressure…..or some Nice Ooffers from the “Other” networks who endorse the Obama “Force a Wish” Administration.

  18. Rose Wandell says:

If these sponsers want to pull out of Fox…we as viewers can stop viewing where they go……

  19. Mike says:

And those sponsors just lost a customer.

  20. Ginger says:

Guess I will not ever purchase anything from Radio Shack ever…and for those Radio Shack’s that are embedded in other stores…Alco/Duckwalls, etc. Don’t need Healthy Choice products, either. Or any of the others that have dropped their minds and common sense! What a bunch of dweebs! AND I WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW WHAT BAD DECISIONS THAT RADIO SHACK, JOHNSON & JOHNSON, CON AGRA, and the other few misdirected companies have made!

  21. Rose Wandell says:

Perhaps boycotting nbc, msnbc, cnn, and abc, etc. could be rather advantageous?

  22. contootwatch says:

Intersting to me that Warren Buffet’s company Geico pulled their ads-he incidentially backed the POTUS in a BIG way and supported the porkulous package. Interesting also that Omaha(Buffet’s home town) is the corporate headquarters of ConAgra. I will be boycotting all products made by the companies who have pulled ads from the Glenn Beck show.

  23. katiesue2 says:

I was about to renew my car insurance with State Farm……not! Seems to me there are a lot of sponsors pulling out over this…..I think there is more to it. Perhaps Obama the racist offered them tax incentives or something!?!? He has munipulated everything else since in office.

  24. Bob Campbell says:

I will boycott anyone that pulls ads from the Glenn Beck Show. Both of us can play this game.

  25. Rose Wandell says:

Glenn, this is just the thing you have been saying, as well as the guests you have had on recently……these people don’t know what else to do, as they realize you speak the truth…instead of going after the “Force a Wish-Oh Yes We Can” Admin. who are in the process of taking more of our liberties away….they will do everything they can to try and intimidate those seeking justice. Listened to “Rush” yesterday….I agree with him..we have a very arrogant man up there.

  26. To bad for them……Glenn beck has so many watching him…….They’ll suffer, not Glenn! Keep doin what you do Glenn and Get the message out…I mean…the truth!

  27. Marianne Guercio says:

    Well, their loss Glenn.

I will no longer shop at those stores or purchase any products from the companies that pulled their ads. I think it is ridiculous.

  28. the closer you get to the root of evil the hotter it gets!!! stand strong and with God beside you, you may not win the battle but you will win the war, I too will no longer be a customer of anyone that pulls their ads. Evil is a monster that we all have to help you fight. Keep up the good work and be strong we are with you. God Bless You and your family.

  29. Ruth says:

I have contacted the following companies and told them I will not buy any of their products because they have stopped advertising on the Glenn Beck Show and I encourage everyone else to do the same:

    Conagra: stephaniechilds@conagrafoods.com, 800-323-9980 or conagrafoods.com

    Roche: Daniel Pillar, dymiller@gene.com, 650-467-6800 or Roche.com

Mens Warehouse: Kara Richmond, kr61@tmw.com, 510-723-8799 or tmw.com

Radio Shak: 800-843-7422 Wendy Dominguez or radioshak.com

State Farm: 309-735-2153 Emily or Statefarm.com

    Geico: 301-986-3271 or Geico.com

    Sanofi-Aventis: 800-981-2491 or Sanofi-Aventis.us

    Sargento: 800-243-3737 or Sargento.com

    Lawyers.com: 800-526-4902 or lawyers.com

    Proctor & Gamble: pg.com

    Progressive Insurance: 800-progressive or progressive.com

    SC Johnson: 800-494-4855 or scjohnson.com

  30. Rose Wandell says:

Listen up…….and spread the word to all who have access to the computer, go to google and search on Ronald Reagan’s speeches……listen to the “Evil Empire” and the others on socialism.

This is something we all must listen to carefully, than stand up against what may be ahead.
As Glenn says…….this is a historical moment….lets not wait till our America is only a memory we tell our grandchildren.

  31. Rose Wandell says:

Make sure you listen to Reagan’s speech
on Capitalism and Socialism. Also the one on
    “Government Is the Problem.

Wow…..how impressive and how right to the moment.

  32. Jan Bauer says:

It would be interesting to know if any of these companies advertise on other programs such as Al Sharpton’s radio show where race baiting is a daily item.

  33. Carol says:

I will be taking my business elswhere from the idiots that chose to pull their ads from the show.

I agree that Obama is racist.. but then again America has been becoming racist against caucasian people for a long time. It is ok for anybody that is not caucasian to say or do anything they want against caucasian people, however if a caucasian person says anything against a person of any color then they are racist to the ninth degree. Even if it is true or not meant to be racist but constructive.

Universities don’t accept people for academic prowess anylonger.. they have to have so many “African Americans” and so many “Hispanics” and so forth. What happened to working for what you get out of life?

Where were a lot of these people born? America just like me.. we are all supposed to be American… one country one people.. but we are divided because of racism.

  34. cdamba says:

Well, I will get busy and email every one of these companies. I will no longer buy any of their products. I may not can forego my medications but will do the best that I can. Glenn, I am so sorry that this happened. However, other stations and Washington must be feeling the pressure. I am also going to email Fox News and tell them as long as Beck and the other conservatives are on, I will only watch their station for news, which I pretty much do now. However, it won’t do any harm for any of us to thank Fox for their support of Glenn. It is time to stand firm and not be initimated by the liberals. Let us all keep fighting the good fight by standing with Glenn.
